Fortuna Entertainment Group (Fortuna) has announced the promotion of Dieter John to the role of CEO, succeeding former CEO Victor Corcoran.
Previously, John held the role of Group Chief Financial & Operations Officer, taking on the position in March 2024. With his first senior role in 1989 and first C-suite role in 2003, John comes to the role with decades of experience in management, with experience in a range of industries.
Previous roles include EVP at Airbus, Chairman of Heckler & Koch and CEO & Chairman of the Management Board at Planet Home Group.
On its LinkedIn page, Fortuna wrote: ‘Having already made a significant impact as our Chief Financial and Operations Officer, Dieter has a deep understanding of our business and has been key in executing our strategy. With his strong track record in growing and transforming complex international organizations, Dieter is well-equipped to lead us into the next phase of growth and success.’
The post also thanked Corcoran for his contributions to the company over his two-and-a-half-year tenure.

The last year has seen Fortuna continue its global expansion and partnership efforts. In April 2024 it partnered with Playtech and Pragmatic Play in the Czech Republic, while in June, it entered into a new partnership with ESA Gaming.
Most recently, it partnered with Evoplay, once again bringing a supplier’s titles to the Czech Republic.
