WA.Technology has received technical standards certification from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) to operate in Brazil’s regulated iGaming market. The approval aligns with Brazil’s new regulatory framework, which came into effect on 1 January 2025.
The certification ensures that WA.Technology meets Brazil’s compliance standards, allowing it to provide technology solutions to licensed operators.
The company will offer its gaming platform, designed for localised and personalised betting experiences, to support Brazil’s anticipated market growth.
WA.Technology has established a local presence in Brazil with an operational team to address regulatory updates and provide real-time support in Portuguese. The platform integrates services such as sports betting, casino games and affiliate marketing tools.
Waldir Marques, Director of Regulatory Affairs LatAm at WA.Technology, stated: “Receiving the platform certification from GLI is an incredibly important milestone for WA Technology; this is a testament to our commitment and determination to meet even the highest standards of regulatory compliance as required by the Brazilian market.”
This development follows WA.Technology’s recent approval to operate in Peru’s gaming market, granted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) in October 2024. The company expanded its Latin American presence with services that include lottery, fantasy sports and performance-tracking affiliate programs.
