Popular sports such as football, basketball, boxing, baseball, hockey, cricket, tennis and surfing have been included in the list alongside more niche offerings such as a number of martial arts, skateboarding, diving, sailing, skiing and equestrianism. Indeed, the list is extensive and covers all sports and modalities recognised by the International Olympic Committee, as well as large number of paralympic sports. Additionally, local reports out of Brazil have revealed that several gambling institutions have received approval of their licenses for both online gambling and sports wagering in the nation.
Regarding online, reports indicate a total of 68 licenses have been approved thus far for a mixture of local and internationally recognised operators – with Novibet providing conformation of its online gaming licence approval earlier today.
For sports wagering licenses, a total of 67 have been awarded, with 15 currently confirmed as definitive, alongside 52 provisional approvals. This number, however, could be subject to change.
