North Star Network has acquired Soccernet, a Nigerian football blog which covers trending stories and scores.
This supports North Star’s initiative to expand into Nigeria and the African media landscape as a whole.

Lolade Adewuyi, Soccernet Co-Founder, will remain with the company as a columnist following the acquisition.
Soccernet has an international readership, with regular viewers coming from the UK, North America, Canada and Spain.
In other African news, Altenar gained a national manufacturer licence from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board to operate in South Africa.
