美国政府可能最快在本周对涉及网络诈骗和人口贩运的柬埔寨知名人士实施制裁。



路透社星期四（9月12日）引述多名知情人士报道，美国数月来一直考虑对成为诈骗活动大本营的柬埔寨实施制裁。

两名听取汇报的美国官员说，原本预计今年早些时候敲定制裁措施，后来却推迟。他们没有说明推迟的原因。

美国财政部发言人受询时拒绝置评。美国驻柬埔寨大使馆、柬埔寨政府及外交部发言人也尚未就此事发言。

近年来，柬埔寨和东南亚多国已成为诈骗活动大本营，诈骗目标涵盖世界各地，包括美国人。美国和其他国家政府多次与柬埔寨接触，尝试制止这种非法活动。

去年12月，英国对涉嫌参与柬埔寨、缅甸和老挝的人口贩运及诈骗活动的九个人和五个实体实施旅行禁令和金融限制。
