Finnplay has confirmed new operator agreements as it prepares for the launch of Finland’s regulated online gambling market.  

The country’s Government has set the framework for market regulation, targeting an opening date in the second half of 2026 or by 1 January 2027.  

Finnplay has secured several Letters of Intent (LOIs) with prospective operators, reflecting interest in its platform and compliance-focused solutions.

The company, which operates in eight regulated markets, plans to leverage its experience in jurisdictions such as Sweden, Estonia and the Netherlands to support operators entering Finland’s new regulatory environment.

Finnplay’s expansion follows its partnership with Mindway AI in September 2024. The collaboration integrates Mindway AI’s technology into Finnplay’s platform, providing operators with tools to monitor and detect at-risk gambling behaviour in real time.

Mindway AI’s GameScanner solution, incorporated into Finnplay’s systems, uses artificial intelligence to identify potential gambling-related risks and improve player protection.

As part of its preparations for Finland’s regulatory launch, Finnplay has localised its services by translating its website into Finnish and plans to showcase its offerings at ICE Barcelona 2025, scheduled for 20–22 January.
