有一位女孩，比谁都了解选择的困难，也更能体会创作灵感对生活的重要性。在仅仅二十岁的年纪便决定为了最爱的舞蹈休学转往美国深造。第二次返美是为了家人再度搬回美国，也从此开启了她台湾美国两地奔波，与家人时常两地分隔的生活。但这一切，都没有阻止她专注于自己的所爱。用一个舞者、妻子、母亲、在异乡的外国人的多重身份及多元观点汇流深度创作，与深深感动。（你还会想看：选择不等于失去）

谈对舞蹈的坚持：
在接近42年的舞蹈生命裡，林向秀经历了女孩、女人、妻子、母亲的角色转换。唯一不变的是，她对舞蹈的热爱。舞蹈是她的航线，穿越两座城市，启航她丰饶的生命旅程。


对林向秀而言，舞蹈不是一个选择。舞蹈 —— 是她人生的导师，也是她唯一义无反顾专注的事。


或许，在外人眼中，艺术的道路是艰辛的：总需要倚靠不可思议的毅力以及难以理解的热忱。但凭藉着不间断的努力，林向秀的坚持是被肯定的。在美国，她二度荣获舞蹈届奥斯卡之称的『邓肯舞蹈奖 Isadora Duncan Dance Awards』年度编舞家奖项。
