ESPN Bet has officially gone live in Washington, DC, providing local fans access to its sports betting platform through a collaboration between Penn Entertainment and Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
As part of the agreement, ESPN Bet has been named a betting partner for Monumental’s teams, including the Washington Capitals, Wizards and Mystics.
The platform, available via mobile app and web, offers a variety of betting markets across sports and leagues worldwide.

Penn Entertainment secured market access in Washington DC, through its partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
Penn Entertainment’s CTO, Aaron LaBerge, commented: “We’re thrilled to launch ESPN Bet in our nation’s capital and expand our presence across the Washington metropolitan area.”
This launch follows ESPN Bet’s expansion into North Carolina in March 2024, where it became the exclusive betting operator for the Wells Fargo Championship through a partnership with Quail Hollow Club. The North Carolina launch coincided with the state’s legalisation of sports betting and included events to engage local fans.
