印度海关官员没收了一名从迪拜来的乘客藏在DVD播放机里的价值76,550迪拉姆(合20,800美元)的黄金。
这些黄金重达385克，是海关人员在检查该乘客的托运行李时发现的。

金奈海关上周六在推特上发布了这一事件，但没有说这名乘客是否被拘留或逮捕。





“10月28日，海关人员拦截了一名乘坐EK546航班从迪拜抵达的乘客。”推特上写道。

“在检查托运行李时，发现了重385克、价值17.15万卢比(75,550迪拉姆)的黄金，隐藏在DVD刻录机、电子产品和价值31.5万卢比(14,060迪拉姆)的香烟中。”
金奈海关上周六报告了另一起案件，一名来自迪拜的乘客携带525克黄金被抓。

海关官员说:“海关官员在10月29日截获了一名乘坐EK-542航班从迪拜抵达的乘客。”

“在对他进行检查时，在他的身体中发现了重525克、价值233.8万卢比(104,359迪拉姆)的黄金。”

印度对黄金征收12.5%的进口税，游客曾试图借此逃避，上述事件是其中最新的一起。

在德里、孟买和喀拉拉邦机场，从海湾地区来的人被没收的情况已经很常见。警方在榨汁机、腰带和手机中发现了黄金。
