At a press conference in the Philippines, a Taiwanese female reporter asked Philippine President Duterte how to deal with bilateral relations with China.

杜：反正不会像你们那个女总统一样。

杜：台湾买再多的美国武器能打赢中国吗？

Du: Can Taiwan buy more American weapons to win China?

女记者：我结婚了，我有老公。

杜：你是否想过买把刀，就有胆子敢跟老公对着干？

Du: Have you ever thought about buying a knife, and you have the courage to dare to confront your husband?

女记者：当然不会，因为有刀也打不过他。

Female reporter: Of course not, because there is a knife that can't beat him.

杜：这就对了嘛，美国人说要卖给我武器，这样才能保护菲律宾，川普你拉倒吧，买了美国武器我能打得过中国吗？

现在中国跟我们合作开发，四六分成，菲律宾省了买武器的钱，还能分到利益，这样多好，傻瓜才去买美国武器。

Now China is cooperating with us to develop, four or six, the Philippines saves money to buy weapons, but also to share the benefits, so much better, fools go to buy American weapons.
