Aida Vardanyan has been announced as the new head of Digitain Malta, following her nine-year stint with the organisation.
After working in a multitude of roles with Digitain, Vardanyan now moves on from her previous position as Head of International Financial Planning and Operations Department to step into this new role as CEO of Digitain Malta. Now, as per this appointment, she will oversee all of Digitain’s Maltese operations.
Vardanyan initially joined the company in 2016, stepping in as a Financial Analyst, before being promoted two years later to Financial Reporting Analyst. She also held her most recent post for over five years. She will now look to leverage Digitain Malta’s position as a key point of reference for the group’s global operations.
Commenting on her new appointment, Vardanyan stated: “I am honoured to take on this new challenge as the CEO of Digitain Malta. Having been a part of Digitain’s journey for over 9 years, I’ve witnessed firsthand how innovation, collaboration, and commitment to excellence have driven our growth.
“My focus will be on building a robust and scalable operation in Malta, ensuring we deliver unmatched value to our partners and establish Digitain as a leader in the global iGaming market. I’m excited to lead our talented team as we continue to innovate and grow together.”

In October, long-term company veteren Simon Westbury announced he would be stepping down as Sportgenerate CEO. Later in the month, Digitain entered into a new partnership with Colombo Sport in the Dominican Republic, supplying its retail cashier sportsbook solutions to Colombo’s network of betting shops in the nation.
