China will support Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s attempt to develop the Philippine economy, a Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman said on November 24.
中国外交部发言人于11月24日对外宣称，中国将鼎力支持菲律宾总统罗德里戈·杜特尔特试图发展菲律宾经济的举措。
“China is willing to enter into cooperation with the Philippines in trade, economy, production capacity and infrastructure so as to support the country’s economic and social construction,” Geng Shuang said.
耿爽称，“中国非常愿意在贸易、经济、生产力以及基础设施等方面同菲律宾展开合作，以助力菲律宾经济的发展和社会的建设。”
“Recently, the departments of the Chinese government, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, have respectively dispatched delegations to the Philippines to work with the competent Philippine departments to implement the results of Duterte’s visit to China, and have made positive achievements In trade, economy, investment, tourism and agriculture,” he added.
他又补充道，“最近，中国政府部门，包括国家发展与改革委员会、商务部、农业部，都已派出各自的代表团前往菲律宾同菲律宾政府的主要部门落实了杜特尔特的访华成果，并在贸易、投资、旅游以及农业等方面均已取得了积极的成果。”
“We believe that as China-Philippines relationship goes deep and cooperation in various fields is being implemented, the two sides will benefit their people with more real cooperation achievements,” Geng said.
耿还说，“我们深信，随着中菲在各个领域交往的深入和合作的推进，中菲双方均会从中持续获益。”
