亚洲航空决定第四季度停飞马尼拉至中国航班
菲律宾亚航今年将停止其马尼拉和中国之间的航班，主要是由于该航线需求低迷，未来将把更多精力放在其他目的地。
亚航首席执行官里卡多·伊斯拉表示，该航空公司的销售额尚未恢复到 2019 年 COVID-19 疫情之前的水平，尤其是马尼拉到中国的航班拖后腿严重。他表示：“到第四季度，我们将不再有飞往中国的航班。归根结底，我们还是必须确保盈利能力的提高。”
2019 年，中国占菲律宾亚航客运量的 30%，当时该公司飞往菲律宾约 7 个城市。到 2023 年，这一数字下降到 4 个，此后进一步下降到 2 个。
伊斯拉表示，到第四季度，虽然将不再有往返中国和马尼拉的航班，但乘客仍然可以预订经吉隆坡转机的航班。他表示亚航后期将会集中精力开发其他目的地，比如最近就正在日本等国家发展业务。亚航之前就有飞成田机场、大阪机场的航班，未来可能还要添加冲绳机场和名古屋机场。
